Opening Ceremony Held in Acre, Brazil to Commemorate the Launch of Telemedicine Network

The Governor of Acre State, the Director of the Acre State Health Department, a representative from the Japanese Embassy, hospital officials, and Allm Inc. staff gathered at the Rio Branco Palace
Allm Inc. (Headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takaaki Otani) announces that its Brazilian subsidiary, Allm S.A. (Location: São Paulo, Brazil; CEO: Bruno Melnik), attended an opening ceremony hosted by the State of Acre on April 28th to commemorate the launch of a telemedicine network project utilizing "Join," the medical professional communication app developed and provided by Allm.
This ceremony commemorates the official launch of a project led by the state of Acre, aimed at strengthening medical collaboration for cardiovascular diseases (heart disease and stroke) across the entire state of Acre.
Acre is home to approximately 890,000 residents across 22 municipalities, four of which are only accessible by river or air. This presents a challenge as the majority of healthcare services are concentrated in Rio Branco, the state capital, making it particularly difficult for residents in remote areas to receive timely and appropriate treatment. Furthermore, in 2024, over 60,000 Brazilians died from heart disease and more than 115,000 from stroke.
This project aims to build a medical institution network for stroke and myocardial infarction using Join, with the goal of providing prevention and early treatment for these diseases, enabling rapid diagnosis and treatment by cardiologists and neurologists, and achieving equitable access to medical care across all 22 municipalities in the state (including remote areas).
Looking ahead, the project is scheduled to expand to more hospitals throughout the state's three healthcare regions. By implementing "Join" in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals and emergency rooms, and building this medical collaboration network, round-the-clock online specialist diagnostic support will become available. This is expected to lead to a reduction in disability and mortality rates among patients suffering from conditions like cerebral infarction and myocardial infarction.

At the ceremony, Acre State's initiatives to optimize diagnoses and treatments by specialists through the adoption of cutting-edge digital health technologies, including Join, were also presented.
In Acre State, all ten facilities, including the central hospital and emergency rooms that serve as treatment hubs within the Join platform's network of medical institutions, will have Join implemented.
Allm Inc. is committed to providing medical ICT solutions and promoting medical digital transformation (DX) with the aim of ensuring equitable healthcare for all.
