Allm Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takaaki Otani), a subsidiary of DeNA Co., Ltd., announced that Japan Heart, an international medical NGO (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; Chairperson: Haruna Yoshioka; hereinafter “Japan Heart”), is using Allm’s integrated telemedicine support solution, Join Mobile Clinic (hereinafter “JMC”), as part of its disaster relief efforts at evacuation shelters in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, one of the areas significantly affected by the earthquake that struck in July 2026.
Japan Heart continues to provide on-site support and mobile medical services at evacuation shelters in Yatsushiro City more than one month after the earthquake. Its disaster relief activities include operating and improving the environment of first-aid stations, providing medical support and relief supplies to residents, and conducting other forms of disaster assistance.
Portable Medical Devices Supporting Care as Shelter Life Continues
At evacuation shelters, residents face a range of health concerns associated with changes in their living environment following the disaster, the summer heat, and prolonged evacuation. In addition, spending long periods in the same position, such as when sleeping in a vehicle, and reduced fluid intake due to changes in living conditions can increase concerns about conditions such as economy-class syndrome, heatstroke, and dehydration.
Japan Heart’s medical team proactively checks on evacuees and provides care to those who are experiencing health problems or require nursing care, welfare, or other forms of support. As part of these activities, portable medical devices included in JMC, including a portable ultrasound device and an electrocardiography system, are being used to assess for blood clots in the legs and check cardiac activity, helping support medical care at the evacuation shelters.

JMC is a telemedicine support solution that brings together a range of portable medical devices in a suitcase and enables the collected data to be shared with remote physicians via Join, Allm’s communication app for medical professionals.
JMC supports the creation of an environment in which medical care can be provided even in locations where healthcare infrastructure is not sufficiently established. In the disaster relief activities in Kumamoto, JMC has been used to bring medical devices needed at disaster medical relief sites outside medical institutions, helping medical teams assess the health conditions of affected residents.
Allm will continue to promote the use of ICT to help deliver healthcare to places where access to medical care is difficult, including disaster-affected areas and remote regions.
