Join Telemedicine Network Launched in the State of Sergipe, Brazil 〜Establishing a Network Across a Vast Area Larger Than Japan〜

Allm Inc. (Headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takaaki Otani), a subsidiary of DeNA Co., Ltd., announced that it has newly launched a telemedicine network using its healthcare professional communication app “Join” in the State of Sergipe, Brazil. With this expansion, Allm’s operations in Brazil now cover four states, following Alagoas, Maranhão, and Acre.

Join Telemedicine Network

A Telemedicine Network Covering an Area Larger Than Japan
Brazil, with a population of approximately 212 million, is the seventh most populous country in the world. Its 27 states play a central role in shaping regional healthcare policies. Through the expansion into the State of Sergipe (population: approx. 2.21 million), Allm’s Join-based telemedicine network for cardiovascular diseases—including stroke and myocardial infarction—now spans approximately 13 million people across four states: Sergipe, Alagoas (approx. 3.12 million), Maranhão (approx. 6.77 million), and Acre (approx. 0.83 million)※1.
The covered area totals approximately 410,000 square kilometers, exceeding Japan’s land area of roughly 380,000 square kilometers.

In Sergipe, the network connects 4 SAMU units (public emergency medical and ambulance services), ambulances, 10 hospitals, 13 emergency care units, two regulatory centers, nurses, and medical coordinators via Join. This has enabled the establishment of a 24/7 specialist consultation and diagnostic support system, available 365 days a year.

Connecting Specialists Across a Vast Nation
Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of death in Brazil. A major challenge lies in disparities in access to care, driven by the concentration of specialists in urban areas and the country’s vast geographic scale.

With the recent addition of Sergipe State, our Join-powered telemedicine network now spans 4 states, integrating 30 high-care hospitals, 56 UPAs (Emergency Care Units), 24 ambulances, and 5 state coordination centers.
Supported by a dedicated team of 15 nurses and specialized physicians, the network enables secure, real-time information sharing from the pre-hospital emergency transport stage. This infrastructure supports the optimal allocation of specialist resources across these wide geographic regions.

Looking ahead, Allm will continue to strengthen its large-scale regional healthcare collaboration infrastructure—particularly in the field of cardiovascular emergency care—while pursuing further expansion both within Brazil and internationally.
