Join × Enroll - Support for prevention of severe foot lesion

With permission from the Japanese Society for Foot Care and Podiatric Medicine, we provide “Foot Care Navi” as an initiative for prevention of foot lesion severity.

The number of diabetes patients in Japan continues to increase every year, and there is no end to the number of cases in which peripheral neuropathy, the most common complication of diabetes, causes foot lesions that become severe and lead to lower limb amputation. The severity of foot lesions can be avoided if patients are referred by their primary physician to a specialized facility for prompt treatment. However, the current situation lacks a system that allows patients to easily consult with specialists in various departments while sharing their detailed symptoms. Early detection and early treatment are the only means to prevent foot lesions from becoming severe, and prompt collaboration among multiple facilities, departments, and professions is extremely important.

Foot Care Navi enables communication among multiple facilities, departments, and professions with the chat function of Join, a communication app for medical professionals, and standardizes the information conveyed with Enroll, a patient-recruiting solution, so that consultation matters can be conveyed quickly and in an easy-to-understand manner. This enables consultations with specialists based on appropriate information, facilitating patient referrals to specialized facilities before they become severe, and early intervention by specialists to prevent foot lesions from becoming more severe.

Features

  • Early Intervention by Specialists

By reporting and consulting with foot lesion specialists who are members of the Japanese Society for Foot Care and Podiatric Medicine, you can receive advice on necessary examination, prescription, care, and wound observation, which will help prevent serious foot lesions.

  • Facilitate Patient Referrals to Specialized Facilities

Early intervention by specialists based on appropriate information enables referral of patients to specialized facilities before they become severely ill. This will increase treatment options such as endovascular treatment and bypass surgery before major amputation, which is the last resort.

  • Advanced Security

HIPAA, EU GDPR and ISO27001 compliant, and complies with 3 national ministries’ 2 guidelines. In addition, patient information is anonymized and shared through encrypted communication.

Utilization of Foot Care Navi

Activate communication among multiple facilities, departments, and professions with Join

The chat function of Join allows consultation on foot lesions between attending physicians/co-medicals and specialists in an advanced security environment, using pictures and videos as well, at any time and quickly on a PC, smartphone, or tablet.

Available with iOS, Android, and the latest version of web browsers such as Google Chrome.

Enroll for standardization of communicated information

As a tool for standardizing information to be communicated, information can be entered into Enroll’s consultation item checklist (supervised by the Japanese Society for Foot Care and Podiatric Medicine) and shared in the Join chat group, which is linked to Enroll, so that consultation items can be communicated in an easy-to-understand manner.

Corporate Collaboration Using Foot Care Navi

We have started activities to support the medical field by utilizing “Foot Care Navi” with medical-related companies that support this initiative. For example, medical professionals who wish to do so can request information from company representatives, and various other types of support will be provided through the use of the Foot Care Navi.
